Explanation of this blog

Introduction
This blog is a programming and computer science blog, as opposed to the DOW, my end-user tech review and user instructions site. Every week on Saturday I will post a short cast of myself solving a programming problem from beginning to end. At any point during the week I can reveal what the topic will be on Saturday. Most of the time the programming and recording will take place on Friday with uploading and editing on Saturday.

Disclaimer
I am going to record live without editing anything out. I'm not usually the most vulgar person, but programmers know what bugs can do to a man. I cannot guarantee that there won't be profanity or vulgarity in any of the casts, but it will not be represented in the text. I am not writing this to justify it and I really will try and watch my mouth, but incidents may occur.

Tools
As of right now I am going to be using gtk-recordmydesktop on Linux Mint (i3 as the window manager) to record programming with Sublime Text 2 (Unregistered)  and a terminal instance. The language I use depends on the problem and the week, but in general I will be using the latest versions of:

Eclipse (With CDT/ADT/CounterClockwise/EclipseFP)
gcc/g++
The Glassgow Haskell Compiler
Leiningen
Clojure
The GNU Coreutils
QtCreator / Qt5

User Input
On Friday, a channel called #iaw on irc.rizon.net will go up for user discussion. If you are not comfortable with your nick there being recorded, sorry, I may monitor the channel throughout the cast.

If you see me make a mistake, it may be more entertaining to let it slide and see if I can fix it. If you disagree with my formatting of my code I'd prefer that you kept it to yourself, as everyone has different opinions on what they like best (even the compiler).

Pledge
Lastly, I pledge to solve none of the problems (after the first week) in advance. The solved programs will go in the iaw github repository under the user "Dymatic".

Schedule
Get ready. May 18th, 2013 is when the first cast goes up. Watch this blog for more details!
